Styling Sheer Tights with Skirts

I want to wear sheer black tights, but I don’t wear miniskirts!

Well then, you are in luck. This post is all about how to style these tights in a tznius fashion. They are very versatile, and can spruce up any outfit, be it casual, a business look, or a party dress.

#1 Business Look

Pair sheer tights with a leather skirt and a simple top, black, gray, or the like for a polished, workplace ready outfit. Add jewelry to bring more interest to the outfit, and you can even pair with a pair of interesting shoes for a pop of color, or stick to some boots.

*Tip This is a great look to add layers to. Especially for someone who is new to layering, adding a cropped jacket, or throwing on a button down shirt can complete the look.

#2 Party Look

Adding a fun pattern or color is a great way to wear sheer tights to an upbeat, elevated event. In the image below, I show a leopard print skirt, but use any pattern or color that makes you think of festivity.

Another way to spice up sheer tights is to play with the texture of the fabrics you wear. You can easily wear a monochromatic outfit to a party if it includes details like puffed sleeves, embroidery, or structure.

#3 Casual Look

If you want to play the cozy homemaker while still looking put together, try wearing sheer tights with a fitted skirt and a sweater. It may be that you wear combinations like this often, but putting on the tights adds a layer of intention and makes it hostess worthy for a fall or winter Friday.

The styles I gave above should be seen by you as a blueprint, not a rulebook. I don’t want you to copy these outfits exactly. Make it yours, read what I said and translate it to what you want. Leave a comment below on how you styled your sheer tights!

And above all, remember to stay Tznius, Timeless, and Tasteful!
